Community Outreach Liaison - Volunteer

Position Overview:
Are you passionate about building connections and engaging with your local community? Join SPLIFF99FM as a Volunteer Community Outreach Liaison! In this role, you will help expand the station’s presence by coordinating with local organizations, planning events, and developing partnerships. This is a great opportunity to be an ambassador for our station and contribute to community-driven initiatives that reflect our LGBTQ+ and Hip Hop mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Reach out to and establish partnerships with local businesses, community groups, and non-profit organizations.
Coordinate and help plan station events, collaborations, and community activities.
Foster relationships with key stakeholders to promote station initiatives and strengthen our local impact.
Organize outreach programs that align with the station’s values and mission, including LGBTQ+ advocacy and Hip Hop culture.
Assist with event logistics, from securing venues to promoting events through flyers, social media, and word-of-mouth.
Work closely with the marketing and promotions team to ensure event success and community engagement.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for community engagement.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and coordinate logistics.
Experience in event planning, community outreach, or partnerships (preferred but not required).
A passion for Hip Hop, R&B, and LGBTQ+ advocacy, and a commitment to building an inclusive community.
Ability to network and build relationships with a variety of organizations and stakeholders.
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure successful collaborations.
