Position Overview:
Do you have a knack for live commentary, a passion for Hip Hop and R&B, and a desire to connect with an audience? Join SPLIFF99FM as a Volunteer On-Air Support! In this role, you’ll work closely with our on-air personalities to co-host segments, provide live commentary, and help create an engaging, entertaining atmosphere for our listeners. This is an exciting opportunity for those interested in broadcasting and learning the ropes of live radio.
Key Responsibilities:
Co-host radio segments and provide live commentary during shows under the supervision of the main on-air personality.
Engage with listeners by responding to social media comments, phone-ins, or texts during live broadcasts.
Collaborate with the team to brainstorm show topics, guests, and content ideas.
Assist in preparing for live shows by gathering relevant information, music, or sound clips.
Support in keeping the show running smoothly, including timing, transitions, and on-air flow.
Participate in station events, interviews, or special projects as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
A passion for Hip Hop, R&B, and LGBTQ+ culture with a deep interest in media and broadcasting.
Strong communication skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet.
A lively, engaging personality with the ability to connect with an audience.
Enthusiasm for working collaboratively with a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
No prior on-air experience required—just a willingness to learn and grow!
